How To Make Next Year Your Best Year | LAYC58

Wondering how to make next year your best year?

Is it even possible to live, love, and create even more than you’ve already experienced?

Do you secretly worry that you’ve peaked, and the rest of your life will be a disappointing rerun of your past, watched from the sidelines?

Wondering if it’s too late to change how you are remembered or how you made a positive difference in other people’s lives?

Are you struggling with coming up with ideas that stir passion and excitement without scaring the pants of you, and everyone around you that have gotten used to “you – just the way they like you”?

These major paradigm shifts, and more, are the foundation of the Encore Methodology and Masterclass and Mastermind programs, and personal coaching that I do with Baby Boomers.

If you are ready to say YES! to the next and best stage of your life, and you want to know how to write the script and star in your Encore role, check out The Encore Catalyst.

Take the Encore Masterclass or sign up for auditions for an Encore Mastermind.

While you’re waiting, read the book Who Am I Now for context.

I am standing by to coach and cheer you on and give you a rousing standing ovation!

Happy Next & Best Year of your amazing Encore life!

Quote from an award-winning film that sums it all up:

‘For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.’

Isabel:

Hello and happy holidays.

Isabel:

I say that because as I'm recording this episode today, we are right

Isabel:

in the midst of Hanukkah, and also the Christmas season, and we are

Isabel:

rapidly approaching New Years, and that end of the calendar year...

Isabel:

The opportunity to really be present in gratitude and reflecting on the future.

Isabel:

As a baby boomer, I hope that you're joining me thinking...

Isabel:

Wow...

Isabel:

How amazing that we have in front of us, another year, a

Isabel:

new year, and the opportunity to live the best year of our lives.

Isabel:

You know, today with technology and increased quality of healthcare and

Isabel:

longevity projections, continuing to move.

Isabel:

We have time.

Isabel:

We have lots of time to think about what are we going to do next?

Isabel:

Who are we now?

Isabel:

Who do we want to become next, and how are we going to live our legacies?

Isabel:

The time of year where of course there's lots of traditions and

Isabel:

opportunities to celebrate.

Isabel:

It's also a time of year that I take advantage of watching and

Isabel:

rewatching some Christmas movies.

Isabel:

And although not a Christmas story, the movie that was released

Isabel:

December 25th, 2008, starring Brad Pitt that garnered a lot of

Isabel:

nominations and accreditations is...

Isabel:

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and it's kind of a romantic sci-fi movie

Isabel:

talking about an infant born as an old man and reverse aging through his life from

Isabel:

being an old man to becoming an infant.

Isabel:

I thought wow...

Isabel:

I'm kind of doing the opposite thing!

Isabel:

But yet at the same time I felt some synergy around the

Isabel:

story because I thought...

Isabel:

You know what?...

Isabel:

I think I'm getting younger in terms of my experience and the opportunities

Isabel:

to continually reinvent and come up with more ways to really clarify my identity.

Isabel:

To decide on how I want to have influence in the coming decades

Isabel:

of my life and thought process...

Isabel:

My beliefs, my expectations.

Isabel:

As I think about how much more opportunity there is for me, to become the best person

Isabel:

that I can be, the best version of me...

Isabel:

In what way I leave lasting impact.

Isabel:

How do I lift others, as I continue to climb through this sort of

Isabel:

self-scripted movie of my life?

Isabel:

Over the past decade, I've been going through a lot of what others like

Isabel:

you, as baby boomers have been doing, and that's really figuring out...

Isabel:

Who am I now?, Who am I today?, Who do I wanna become?

Isabel:

and How do I get there?

Isabel:

I invested a lot of time.

Isabel:

I did a lot of research.

Isabel:

I did a lot of reading.

Isabel:

I paid for self-development and self-improvement courses,

Isabel:

and I kept searching for...

Isabel:

Where is that beautiful retirement model that I expected to get to...

Isabel:

And why don't I really enjoy it?

Isabel:

Why am I not feeling like this is it?

Isabel:

Why am I feeling like...

Isabel:

Isn't there more to me and my life?...

Isabel:

And the purpose of everything that I have done up to this point...

Isabel:

Everything that I have learned.

Isabel:

And I couldn't find quite the right answers for how to shift that model

Isabel:

that I had, that paradigm that I had about what life was going to be

Isabel:

like after I worked really hard and played by all the rules and did all

Isabel:

of the prescribed and directed stuff that my generation was supposed to do.

Isabel:

How was I going to shift that into.

Isabel:

That was just the beginning and how would I create that Encore model for myself?

Isabel:

So I did what any good baby boomer would do.

Isabel:

I invented it.

Isabel:

I created the Encore methodology.

Isabel:

because I needed a process, a system to be able to say yes to my own life,

Isabel:

to a future that I hadn't expected, and I certainly didn't have a plan or

Isabel:

a strategy forward, so I created the Encore methodology, so I could gather

Isabel:

up and take stock of all that I already have, and who I was, and what was great.

Isabel:

You know, reminding myself that I wasn't starting this new Encore role in my life

Isabel:

from scratch, that I already had a lot to build on, and then to go forward

Isabel:

and be able to write a new script.

Isabel:

The dreams that I hadn't yet had, to be able to leverage all of the best of me,

Isabel:

but yet to also figure out how to bring to me the people, the resources, the

Isabel:

training, to do what I wanted to do next.

Isabel:

I put that all together in the Encore methodology, and I even wrote a

Isabel:

book for my 65th birthday called...

Isabel:

Who Am I Now?

Isabel:

I'll put the link in the show notes for you.

Isabel:

Over time, what I learned in talking to many of you, and to my peers, my

Isabel:

friends and family and my clients...

Isabel:

That others were searching for those answers also...

Isabel:

The process, the tools, the resources to figure out what they wanted to do.

Isabel:

How to make that a joyful, positive experience...

Isabel:

Instead of the scary, intimidating one that it can be when you're

Isabel:

feeling in that place of...

Isabel:

I don't know who I am, and I don't like it here...

Isabel:

But I don't really know how to get out of it, and move forward.

Isabel:

Being the collaborative, positive person that I am, I want to share

Isabel:

that with as many people as possible.

Isabel:

I've figured out how to do it.

Isabel:

I use it over and over again...

Isabel:

Because I continue to reinvent.

Isabel:

I'm not static, I'm not finished.

Isabel:

I'm evolving and I love it, and I'd love to share those processes with you.

Isabel:

Now there are three different ways that I'm working with people and helping

Isabel:

people that I'd like to offer to you.

Isabel:

One of those is to be part of the Encore Masterclass...

Isabel:

That's a online self-guided at your own pace...

Isabel:

Walk-through with me, as your coach and cheerleader...

Isabel:

Guided process to figure out how to write the script.

Isabel:

How to gather the resources and the cast and crew...

Isabel:

And how to produce your next Encore role.

Isabel:

Another way, if you want a more hands-on, more involved experience...

Isabel:

Then you can apply to become a cohort in one of my Encore Masterminds.

Isabel:

That's a very carefully created and curated group of people like yourself

Isabel:

who are looking to really move forward to accelerate the enjoyment and

Isabel:

create the next and best roles of their lives and get out there with

Isabel:

their identity, their influence, and their impact plan clearly in place.

Isabel:

Finally, I offer a personalized coaching service on a boutique basis.

Isabel:

If you're interested in any of those being part of your future, and your

Isabel:

Encores, so that you can create and really experience and live the

Isabel:

next and best part of your life...

Isabel:

Please, you'll find more information at: TheEncoreCatalyst.com where

Isabel:

you can reach out to me and get a free Encore evaluation, or sign

Isabel:

up for the next Encore Masterclass program beginning in the new year.

Isabel:

I'd just like to leave you with this final word from the movie The

Isabel:

Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Isabel:

I think it sums up so beautifully what I'm feeling...

Isabel:

For what it's worth, it's never too late, or in my case, too

Isabel:

early to be whoever you want to be.

Isabel:

There's no time limit.

Isabel:

Stop whenever you want.

Isabel:

You can change or stay the same.

Isabel:

There are no rules to this thing.

Isabel:

We can make the best or the worst of it.

Isabel:

I hope you make the best of it, and I hope you see things that startle you.

Isabel:

I hope you feel things you've never felt before.

Isabel:

I hope you meet people with a different point of view.

Isabel:

I hope you live a life you're proud of.

Isabel:

If you find that you are not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.

Isabel:

Live your legacy, and Lift As You Climb!
